Learn to Use HCAIinfo
HCAIinfo is designed to provide information to HCAI health care users in two ways. Information is filtered based on:
- how a health care user accesses the HCAI system; and
- the type of tasks a user performs in HCAI.
There are three ways to access HCAI: through the internet (Web Access); through Practice Management Software (PMS Access); and through the Data Entry Centre (DEC Access).
Once you know which way you will interact or access HCAI, information is divided into two streams: Facility Management and Working with OCF Forms.
Facility Management
This section contains all the task-specific information involved in managing your health care practice/clinic in HCAI. Tasks covered in this section include enrolling in HCAI, setting your practice/clinic as a facility in HCAI, and privacy.
Working with OCF Forms
This section contains all the task-specific information involved in OCF form creation and submission. Tasks covered in this section include completing OCFs (18s, 21s, & 23s), submitting OCFs, amending OCFs, tracking OCFs and reviewing OCFs.
Popular Links
On the left hand side of the screen you will see the "Popular Links" navigation section. Information here is gathered according to subject area. When you click on a link in the Popular Links section, you are immediately be brought to the page for that subject area. This section is available on every page.
Global Navigation Links
At the top of the top of the screen sits the "global navigational links", where information is gathered by HCAI access method, the Troubleshooting and the New to HCAI sections. Place your mouse cursor on the title of a section and a drop-down list appears with links to popular topics. Click on a topic area in the drop-down list, and you are brought directly to the page for that topic.
