Compliance and Enrolment

Every insurer that writes auto insurance in Ontario will be required to comply with regulations and guidelines related to the HCAI system. The Health Claims for Auto Insurance system is operated in accordance with the Insurance Act and is regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. The above-noted regulations outline changes amending the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) for accidents occurring on or after November 1, 1996. This document identifies the Insurers, Health Care Facilities, and Health Care Providers that are subject to the guideline. It describes which documents are to be delivered to the Central Processing Agency (CPA) and the options for delivering the documents. It also explains how Insurers are to provide information to the CPA.

Re-enrolment Documents

Insurers that previously enrolled with HCAI in 2007-2008 are required to complete a simplified re-enrolment process, which includes several enrolment documents.

First Time Enrolment
