DEC Access

Accessing HCAI using the Data Entry Centre (DEC)

  • If you are unable to work directly with HCAI, you can fax paper OCF forms to the HCAI Data Entry Centre (DEC), where data from the form will be entered into the system.
  • Using the DEC does not require a computer, and if you currently use Word or Excel templates, you can continue to do so.
  • The process of getting confirmation of your submission and a response from the adjuster will be longer than if you are using the Web or PMS options. Insurer response will be in the form of a fax-back.
  • If your submitted forms are missing information or contain mistakes, this may further slowdown the process, as the DEC will need to seek clarification from you.
  • DEC users will not be able to charge the higher form completion fee that is available to Web and Web/PMS users.
  • To view a diagram of how you access HCAI using the Data Entry Centre, click here.

Before you decide to register with the HCAI DEC, read this notice from the Ontario Health Coalition.
