HCAI Full Rollout Schedule – Tiers 1 & 2
If your health care facility (practice) is not listed in Tiers 1 or 2, you will be in Tier 3. Instructions for Tier 3 participants will be posted in mid-June 2010.
Tier 1: Effective dates between April and May 2010
Determine if your health care business is named in the Tier 1 Schedule

Tier 2: Effective dates between June and August 2010

What if my health care business is NOT named in the Tier 1 OR Tier 2 List?
- Check back in mid-June to review the Tier 3 list and instructions for Tier 3 health care facilities.
- Tier 3 health care facilities will be assigned an effective date between Septermber 2010 and Novmeber 2010. Further instructions will be posted in mid-June on this website.
Want to get the paperwork out of the way?
If you wish, you may also complete the online registration (follow the instructions here) and submit the signed registration form. Insert “Tier 3” where it asks for your Effective Date.
What if my health care business is new, or was never enrolled with HCAI in 2007-2008?
New, or never enrolled health businesses will be assigned an effective date in Tier 3, which is the period between September and November 2010. Check this website in mid-June for more details.
What if my health care business IS named in the Tier 1 or Tier 2 List?
- Enrol with HCAI. Download the registration (enrolment) instructions available here.
- Do not lose your username and password.
- Fax the signed registration form (HCAI Electronic Terms and Conditions) to HCAI Processing at 416-497-6505 (before the deadline shown in the table below).
- HCAI will confirm receipt of your enrolment form.
- Your clinic will be activated (Approved) 2 weeks BEFORE your effective date.
- You will begin using HCAI to transmit all OCFs 18/22/23 and invoices on your effective date.
