Independent Adjusters play a key role for the adjudication of OCF forms for Insurer Organizations. Whether Independents are used to complement in-house claims operations or an Insurer has outsourced their claims handling, the insurer can set up the appropriate level of access and roles for Independents in the HCAI system.

This document will help Insurers who have decided not to migrate their organization set-up and associated claim-claimant data from the previous HCAI production environment. If an Insurer decides not to migrate, they will be responsible (once they receive their first User ID and Password for the system) to build their organization structure, set-up users, and enter in their claim and claimant data. This document outlines all the steps required in preparation for going live on the HCAI.
