We are pleased to share that the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has announced the successful completion of HCAI’s Attendant Care Services Invoice (ACSI) pilot. Their recent Eblast, Successful HCAI Pilot Supports Better Billing for Attendant Care Services, explains that the ACSI will continue to be available for use in HCAI now that the pilot period is complete.
The pilot commenced in May of 2025 to enable health care facilities to bill in HCAI for approved services listed on the Assessment of Attendant Care Needs (Form 1). The addition of the ACSI to HCAI has enhanced the business processes of health care facilities and insurers by offering a streamlined, centralized invoicing experience.
To support the ACSI, the Personal Support Worker (PSW) provider type was also added to HCAI to enable health care facilities to add this profession to their HCAI provider roster.
With the successful completion of the pilot, facilities are encouraged to use the form in HCAI and benefit from the electronic invoicing process.
