We are pleased to announce that the HCAI Data Retention (HDR) System is now live. As mentioned in January’s Year Ahead Bulletin, this system provides insurers with comprehensive industry-wide anonymized data based on OCFs processed through HCAI.
The dataset can be used to:
understand patterns such as what treatments were proposed and what adjudication decisions were made
provide trends on injuries, costs and types of treatments
provide valuable information to support and monitor potential HCAI enhancements
How to request access to the dataset
To request access to the dataset in the HDR System, please complete the HDR Access Request Form. For more information, refer to the HCAI Data Retention – Data Consumption Specification document on IBC’s Member Site.
The specification document provides:
instructions on how to request and receive the dataset
connection information
dataset files specifications and formats
anonymization rules
field descriptions
Note that insurers will need to use their own tools to query and analyze data in the HDR System.
